A slice in time

Rihanna is waving the British flag in terms of style whilst at Coachella festival. The R&B goddess is wearing the Peace crop from Topshop (£16) and what looks to me like a pair of Ragged Priest studded shorts, which I have previously posted about. They are my dream purchase for the summer, which I mite invest in next time I go to London, to Topshop Oxford Circus Ragged Priest concession.

I love this look, even though it doesn't necessarily scream out "festival" to me. It seems to have a ounce more ... class? I don't know. It's simple, but still makes a statement. Having been an devoted leopard fan from the ages of 15-18 I can say that a couple of years ago I would've had those jeans in my wardrobe. Now my leopard adoration no longer exits I can still say how much I like and would definitely wear these. It's not a "look at me" sort of outfit but she certainly knows how to dress.

This to me is something i'd probably wear myself at a festival, an oversized vintage t-shirt paired with some shorts. Simple. You could probably achieve this look for under £20, which is a bonus because it beats spending endless amounts of money on items that in reality, are likely to get ruined.  

Anybody that knows me will know that a look including stripes would have to appear in my Coachella favourites, due to my subconscious relationship with the horizontal pattern. Like the look above, this is easy going, every day, slightly grungy and perfect for a day ahead of music and drinking.  

I've just posed this post quickly as i'm supposed to be doing some research for a new University project, which is to create a photo shoot. Sadly Coachella festival has zero correlation with this project so i'll get back to work ... But i'll leave you with this amazing video from the festival. If only.
